  • Lisa Ponce Kim has trained in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and beyond. She specializes in creating effortless, customized cuts and colors tailored to each guest’s unique style.

    Lisa is highly skilled in NBR as well as many other types of hair extensions, blonding, curly cuts and gray blending. As a Certified Curly Hair Specialist, she is passionate about delivering gorgeous transformations that enhance her clients' natural beauty. 

    Since opening Moon River Salon in 2011, Lisa has continued to dedicate herself to her craft, considering hair her passion and making people look and feel beautiful her purpose. Lisa prides herself on making people feel beautiful both inside and out.

    Outside of the salon Lisa loves being with her husband and 4 kiddos. She loves all things nature and outdoors especially gardening, camping and being at the beach.

  • Sarina Watson joined Moon River Salon immediately after earning her cosmetology license and completing the salon's assistant program. Since then, she has been building her dream clientele.

    Sarina thrives on continued education and has participated in numerous classes and one-on-one sessions with inspiring hair artists. She believes in the power of learning and exploring new techniques to stay inspired. Specializing in reds, coppers, rich brunettes, and hand-painted balayage, Sarina also excels at creating layered, textured haircuts tailored to each client’s unique style. 

    On her days off, Sarina enjoys hiking, thrifting, and spending cozy days at home with her family. She is deeply grateful for her clients and looks forward to welcoming them to her chair.

  • Madison Gerlach is a skilled hairstylist with five years of experience in the beauty industry. After graduating from Cal Poly in 2017, she decided to follow her passion for hair and has since cultivated expertise in lived-in colors, extensions, and men’s cuts. Holding both cosmetology and barber licenses, Madison brings a versatile approach to her work, ensuring every client feels confident and cared for.

    Known for her attention to detail and personalized service, Madison excels at creating natural, dimensional color and seamless extensions that complement her clients’ unique styles. Her barbering skills allow her to provide precision cuts for men, making her a well-rounded stylist who can meet a variety of haircare needs.

    Outside of the salon, Madison enjoys spending quality time with her fiancé, family, and adorable dog and sweet cats. She loves exploring the Central Coast, trying new recipes, and unwinding with her loved ones. Madison looks forward to continuing to build lasting relationships with her clients and helping them achieve their hair goals.

  • Pursuing a career in the beauty industry has been Miranda’ dream since childhood. She is passionate about working with clients who have fine or thinning hair and excels in all types of blonding and extension services.

    Miranda’s goal is to ensure her clients leave the salon feeling inspired, important, and uplifted. Guided by her belief in making others feel better after every interaction, she strives to create stunning transformations that leave her clients in awe.

    Outside of work, Miranda enjoys spending time with her fiancé, her cat, and her puppy. She cherishes moments filled with laughter and meaningful conversations.

    Emma is dedicated to maintaining the health of her clients' hair, making it her top priority. She is committed to continued education, taking classes to master new skills and techniques, and staying up to date with the latest trends to deliver her clients’ dream hair.

    Outside the salon, Emma enjoys spending time with her son, husband, and extended family and friends. She loves reading, hiking, playing card games, indulging in sushi, and sipping iced matcha lattes with almond milk.

Whether he's lounging in the sunniest spot in the salon or offering cuddles to clients, Carlton is a beloved part of the Moon River family.

    With his calm demeanor, smile and gentle spirit, Carlton has a knack for putting everyone at ease, making every visit to the salon even more special. He’s especially fond of belly rubs, treats, and all the love he gets from his human friends.
